ウクレレ教室、フラ教室合同卒業リサイタル
Ukulele Class & Hula Class Joint Graduation Recital
素晴らしく楽しいインストラクターの元でウクレレとフラのふたつの教室に参加してきた。
クルーズディレクターのボブのウクレレ伝授法はちょっと名状しがたい。実に楽しく、あっという間に数曲を楽しむまでにウクレレを操る術を、高齢の乗客相手に教え込んでしまうのだ。合間にはハワイ語まで教えてしまう。私も例外ではない。一度以前のクルーズで卒業証書をゲットしているのに、もう一枚欲しくて今回も毎午後クラスに参加してきた。私という人間には恥ずかしながらそういうところがある。
フラクラスは今回タヒチの島々に毎日寄港していたので回数は少なかったが、今回も楽しんだ。フラ・ハラウ･オラナのナタリーからレッスンを受けるのは2回目。とても素晴らしいフラ・ダンサーを育てている。
We had been practicing Ukulele and Hula under the excellent instructors.
Our Cruise Director Bob Tanaka's ukulele teaching method is really astounding. Beginners can enjoy playing some songs after a few lessons. I am not exception. I gained one graduation certificate in the past long cruise, but I wanted another one on this cruise. That motivated me to go to the class every afternoon. I must confess that I am such a mediocre person.
Hula Class did not have many lessons due to island-hopping day after day in Tahiti. But I enjoyed it this time, too. This is the second time I learn hula from Leslie of Hula Halau Orana.
舞台衣装はヌクヒバで購入したパレオ I wore a pareo I bought at Nuku Hiva for the stage.
ボブは舞台の生徒から見えるところに立って(但し、客席からは見えない）コードを書いた大きなカードを音楽にあわせてかざしてくれる。

ハワイアンミュージックが好きです。
それに合わせて踊るフラダンスも好きですね。
見ていると楽しいです。

ウクレレのボブ先生の立ち位置の配慮が見事！
ヨットをなさる方はたいていハワイアンミュージックもお好きですね。私も耳にするとすぐリラックスモードになってしまいます。
フラは、踊ってみると中々難しいものです。やはり見るほうに回りたいのが本音です！
うまくは踊れなくても開放感がありますよね。

フラも習えるんですね、いいですね♪ フラの手の動きにはいろいろな意味があるとか・・・。パレオもすごく素敵です！楽しい船旅ですね・・・
